High Fiber Chili with Kellogg's® All-Bran® cereal

  • 2 pounds beef, lean, ground round
  • 2 pounds turkey, lean ground
  • 1 quart onions, chopped
  • 4 cups Kellogg's® All-Bran® Original cereal
  • 1 quart tomato sauce
  • 2 quarts kidney beans, canned, undrained
  • 2 quarts tomatoes, canned, diced or crushed, undrained
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 bay leaves


1. Place meats, onions, and green pepper in stream jacketed kettle. Cook at medium-high heat, stirring frequently until meat is cooked and no longer pink. Drain off excess liquid and discard.
2. Add remaining ingredients to meat mixture. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat if necessary. Remove bay leaves before serving.
