Waffles Supreme

These crispy, light waffles are at their best topped with sliced bananas or strawberries and warm maple syrup. Add a dollop of freshly whipped cream for a truly indulgent Saturday morning delight.

  • 4 1/2 cups (1 pound 3 ounces) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 cups (13 ounces) Kellogg’s® All-Bran® Original cereal
  • 12 each eggs, separated
  • 1 quart 1 pint (48 fl. ounces) milk, skim
  • 1 pint 1 cup (24 ounces) melted margarine or butter


1. In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, and cereal.
2. Slightly beat egg yolks. Add egg yolks, reduced fat milk, and melted margarine to cereal mixture. Stir until well blended.
3. In small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into batter.
4. Bake in preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions or until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown. Serve hot with syrup or fruit topping, if desired.
